The Happy Days Gang (Senior Adult Ministry)

The senior adults (50+) at Pleasant Grove have been playfully dubbed "The Happy Days Gang." Once a month this group meets to share a meal, swap stories and enjoy each other's company. They have so much fun and good food that they decided to invite the whole church. On the second Tuesday of each month, "the Gang" meets at 11:00am for a covered dish lunch and a time of fellowship. Church family and friends of all ages are invited. Just bring your favorite pot luck dish to share, and come have lunch with "The Happy Days Gang."

Women’s Missionary Union (WMU)

Our Women’s Missionary Union meets the first Thursday of each month. There is an emphasis on praying for missionaries and learning what missionaries do on the field. On occasion we feature a guest missionary as a speaker.

Nursery

The Nursery at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church agrees with Jesus and thinks very highly of children and their child-like faith, learning styles, and personalities. In our nursery you will find a safe environment where the child is our focus.

Nursery for newborns through age 3 is provided during the Sunday School hour, Sunday morning service as well as our Wednesday evening service. Our well-staffed nursery will take care of your little ones while you participate in the various church activities.

On Sunday morning, your child can find a classroom of fun and learning. The children interact with each other, forming new friendships, and learning about God and their wonderful world around them through play, storybooks, art, games, songs, and examples of Christian faith shown by their caregivers. Our approach is simple – zero in on the things kids love to do and make them part of the Bible-learning process. These children are so proud of the work they do in class and of the things they learn. Nursery and toddlers class continues through the church hour, so there is no need to pick up the children between Sunday School and the morning service.

Pleasant Grove Puppets for Christ!

The puppet team is a voluntary ministry made up of both youth and adult members of Pleasant Grove Baptist. We practice weekly and put on Christian oriented performances in our church several times each year. We also visit, by invitation, local nursing homes and children’s homes.

Our objective is to show the joy and love of learning about Jesus and accepting Him through the eyes of a child. Saying “Jesus Loves Me” takes on real meaning and the children and elderly do understand that Jesus loves them.

Our performances are free, no charge of any kind is sought. The remuneration is in knowing we have shared Jesus with some who may never get to see or Hear about Him.

Puppet practice is Sundays at 6:00 pm.
